Kennedy 8 Drawer Tool Chest

Kennedy tool chest drawer pulls OK you guys, I KNOW somebody out there has done this and found the answer so here goes. I Just scavenged a kennedy 520 machinist chest FULL of goodies for FREE.... But there are several of the plastic draw pulls broken. The little brown plastic handles are about 1/4 or 5/16 wide and I can,t find anywhere that has them. they seem to be the same as on the Craftsman machinist chests and they match my Starrett chest wich I believe was made by kennedy. Any hints as to where to find the pulls?

I would ask Kennedy. I have been to their factory outlet store many times, just 30 miles from me. They sell parts and have good deals on closeouts and seconds. Give them a call and you will find friendly small town people who care about their customers, even if you got the box for nothing.

From the Kennedy site, look in the downloadable "Accessories" catalog .pdf Once you have the part number, anyone who sells Kennedy chests can order them direct / drop ship. I've done this through J&L / MSC many times.

I've ordered them from Kennedy before, but they aren't the same anymore.
The older ones had a steel rivet to secure them and the newer ones have two plastic "bosses" that get "swaged" (heated?).

I found those small drawer pulls to be a PIA. I broke them off and bought several long U shaped drawer pulls from my local hardware store and installed them. Now I have something to grasp and not have to pinch those tiny plastic pulls.

Pat, that sounds like what my buddy Robert P did. He used some of these:
